If you are a fan of good music, chances are Terius “The-Dream” Nash has penned one of your favorite songs.
While The-Dream is an accomplished hitmaker in his own right, it is his exploits behind the scenes that have made the Grammy Award-winning songwriter a go-to talent in the music industry. His current star-studded album, IVPlay, is currently causing multiple pregnancies around the world, but he recently sat down with STASHED to talk about some of this best work with the pen.
In the premiere episode of Lines & Notes, The-Dream talks to STASHED about the creative process behind two of the most accomplished songs to his credit. The first song discussed is the Grammy Award-winning introductory song from the Jay-Z and Kanye West joint album, Watch The Throne. Vacations are cut short and five-star hotels are transformed into hit-making studios for the making of the much-celebrated album from two of the greatest rap artists of all time.
Mr. Nash also opens up about what is possibly his most successful record, “Single Ladies,” by Beyoncé. Nash reminisces, boldly stating that he would write her next hit single before it became an anthem for women worldwide and, according to West, “one of the greatest videos of all time.”
