Everything You Need To Know About Sage Northcutt: The Next Big Thing

Everything You Need To Know About Sage Northcutt

This upcoming weekend is supposed to be one of the biggest in UFC history. UFC interim featherweight champion Conor McGregor is set to fight UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo to determine who is the undisputed champion of the world. UFC middleweight champion and the man who crushed the myth of Anderson Silva, Chris Weidman, will defend his title against former Strikeforce champion Luke Rockhold.

However, the fighter that people can’t get enough of is 19-year-old phenom Sage Northcutt. Northcutt is a guy who looks like an Abercrombie & Fitch model, but is a certified ass-kicking machine. He’s as jacked as anybody you will see in the entire UFC and has been training to be a fighting machine since he was four years old.

The thing that makes Northcutt more appealing–or scary, depending on how you look at it–is his happy-go-lucky demeanor that he seems to always have. He’s a lightning-fast karate legend from a fighting family and he’s not even old enough to buy an alcoholic beverage yet. When UFC President Dana White was asked on ESPN who he thought could be the next big star from his company, he pointed right in the direction of the teenage phenomenon. Last night did nothing to slow down the momentum for Northcutt, as he defeated Cody Pfister in his second UFC bout in Las Vegas. Northcutt made Pfister tap out with a guillotine choke 41 seconds into the second round during their UFC Fight Night bout.

Hit the jump to learn a little bit more about “Super” Sage Northcutt, the next big thing.
