It looks like we just entered another year where Travis Scott proves inescapable. He already capped off 2015’s success—released his debut album, joined The Weeknd on tour, created an action figure—with two new songs, and now he’s returning, just days later, over a DJ Mustard produced track (premiered today by Zane Lowe on Beats 1).
Titled “Whole Lotta Lovin,” the song gives off a fun vibe as Travis Scott raps about the connection he’s experiencing with a lady friend. He goes as far as channeling CeCe Peniston’s 1992 hit, “Finally,” making the tune even more infectious than its EDM production.“My music isn’t rappity-rap-rap-rap. I base my music off of lifestyle and emotion—that’s why my music has a lot of chords, even if it’s a hard-ass joint,” he told Complex.
Though “Whole Lotta Lovin'” will likely live on DJ Mustard’s next project, Travis Scott’s been creating some new tunes of his own. He recently let fans know that he’s been in the studio with Mike Dean, and also announced that a new album is on the way. Fans can also look forward to catching La Flame on the North American leg of Rihanna’s ANTI tour.
Head over to Beats 1 to hear Travis Scott auto-tune his way through DJ Mustard’s latest release.
