The Air Jordan XXX Unveiled During Ceremony In Chicago

The 30th edition of the Air Jordan signature shoes have arrived. A sneaker three decades in the making, the Air Jordan XXX was officially unveiled today by famed Nike designer Tinker Hatfield, Ben Lyons, and Mark Smith. The XXX’s midsole tooling is similar to the Jordan XX9 and also includes the very popular Flightplate setup and flyweave technology.

Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star point guard, Russell Westbrook, will be the first NBA player to debut the latest Air Jordan signature shoe. Larry Miller, president of Jordan Brand, confirmed at the beginning of the shoe’s presentation live from the Adler Planetarium in Chicago that it will hit stores on February 12, 2015.

“Every year the Air Jordan is the most important product that we create,” Miller said to kick off the presentation according to Footwear News. “Our goal every year is to create a product that is a leader in innovation.”

Aside from Westbrook’s signature shoe, the only other NBA players that have signature product made for the court include New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony and Chris Paul of the Los Angeles Clippers.
