First Trailer for “Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising” Says Screw Male Privilege [VIDEO]

Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising Trailer

Nicholas Stoller’s 2014 hit Neighbors is quite possibly one of the best comedies to come out that year. Couple fan and critic praise with a massive run at the box office, and it’s not entirely surprising that Neighbors 2 is well on its way to theaters. Universal just released the first trailer for the sequel, titled Sorority Rising, and it welcomes back Seth Rogen, Zac Efron and Rose Byrne.

This time around, the Radners are looking to sell their home, but when an unruly sorority force moves in next door, they find it increasingly hard to locate prospective buyers. Mac and Kelly enlist the help of Teddy, foe-turned-ally, in an effort to battle the crudest sorority leader in town. Sorority Rising is more or less the same plot as the first movie, but with a female squad causing all the chaos. Regardless of Stoller’s almost identical formula, he has a great relationship with his cast and it translates on the screen so well. And it also serves as a reminder that women can be just as crude and funny as men, and I can’t think of a more perfect choice to lead that narrative than Chloe Grace Moretz.

Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising also stars Selena Gomez, Dave Franco, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Dope‘s Kiersey Clemons, Beanie Feldstein, and Lisa Kudrow. Check out the trailer up top and mark your calendars for May 20t.
