Conor McGregor Calls Himself A God, Compares Self To El Chapo In Epic Press Conference

Conor McGregor says that he is a God in an incredible press conference for UFC 197.

If you haven’t noticed yet, we at STASHED are huge fans of Conor McGregor. The current reigning and defending UFC featherweight champion of the world talks a whole heap of shit, and backs every single word of it up by kicking ass inside the cage.

Things were no different today as the champ took part in a press conference for UFC 197 today alongside his competitor Rafael dos Anjos. McGregor will be moving up to lightweight to challenge dos Anjos for the lightweight championship at UFC 197 on March 5, and if you think that had the Irishman nervous at all, you must not know Conor McGregor.

In the press conference, McGregor went on to call himself a God amongst other things. “Me and Jesus are cool, I’m cool with all the Gods. Gods recognize Gods,” McGregor said in the presser. He also went on to talk about speaking Spanish and dressing like El Chapo for some reason, but whatever. It was cool.

One would surmise that this could be the pride coming before the fall, but in the grand scheme of things this is probably some of the more tamer things that the UFC champion has said to an opponent. Maybe he respects Rafael dos Anjos. Maybe.

The champ would go on to say that he’s going to dust dos Anjos in under one minute, as much as he would like to “beat the ugly out of him into the second and third rounds.” So much for respect.
