For months there’s been speculation about a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles video game titled TMNT: Mutants in Manhattan. In that time, fans have gotten no official confirmation that the game is even slated for release, until now. Platinum Games finally climbed out of the sewer today with a tweet announcing that a reveal for the TMNT game is set for tomorrow, January 26.
The tweet from Platinum Games promises that an “official leak” for TMNT: Mutants in Manhattan will arrive tomorrow. No other clues can be seen in the teaser image, which means that the reveal could be a gameplay trailer, more still images, or literally anything else pertaining to the game. As far as a release date is concerned, there’s a good chance the game will arrive this summer, when the second film in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot series is slated to hit theaters.
Being that Platinum Games served as the studio behind last year’s Transformers Devastation, TMNT fans shouldn’t be shell-shocked if the Turtle-themed brawler offers a similar gameplay experience. Whatever’s in-store for tomorrow’s reveal, it’s safe to assume it involves pizza. And that’s never a bad thing. Well, almost never.
On a side note, the Ninja Turtles might be about the only squad that can get away with rocking the upcoming Nike LeBron 13 All-Star.
Check out the tweet from Platinum Games after the jump and check back with STASHED tomorrow for the latest on TMNT: Mutants in Manhattan.
