Beyoncé Joins Coldplay in “Hymn for the Weekend” [VIDEO]

Beyoncé’s return to the throne has been subtle. She appeared alongside Channing Tatum for an energetic performance of “Girls (Run the World)” earlier this month. And soon after, it was announced that she’d be performing onstage next weekend at half-time during this year’s Super Bowl.

Now, the Bey Hive has another reason to swarm over their queen. Coldplay has just released the official video for “Hymn For The Weekend,” a Beyoncé-assisted single off of their newest album, A Head Full of Dreams. The singer is center of attention as Chris Martin and company make their way around Mumbai. Captured during the festival of colors, the vibrant Ben Mor-directed visual matches the inspirational vibes of the single.

“This album is about celebrating and this angel figure kept popping up and I was thinking, ‘Gosh, Beyoncé would be perfect, but she’d never do it,'” he told EW. “One day, we were talking and I was trying to drop the hint, but I didn’t want to be imprudent. And she said I’ll do it.”

Just yesterday, Coldplay announced their upcoming tour. The worldwide trek kicks off in Argentina on March 31, and will land in North America in July for a performance at NJ MetLife Stadium. Other stops include Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Dallas, and San Francisco.
