We’ve already previewed a few of the upcoming NBA All-Star Weekend apparel that the league’s top players will be donning; however, Nike has officially shared what fans can expect to see during the coveted game. Officially dubbed the “Royalty” collection, the newest line features reiterations of the popular KD 8, Kobe Elite 11, and the LeBron 13 silhouettes, along with new colorways of the Nike Hyperlive and the Nike Air Audacity. Each sneaker will be donned during the NBA All-Star Game by Kevin Durant, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Paul George, respectively.
The Kobe 11 employs a lustrous black upper, with glowing contrasting teal woven throughout its mid to lower construction to serve as a nod to the ambience of the Northern Lights. Anthony Davis’ Nike Air Audacitys see inspiration from “The Brow,” with heavy knit material and black leather used to emulate his now famous unibrow, accompanied by contrasting blue and yellow details throughout. Both the KD8 and the Nike Hyperlive models are the most colorful sneakers of the pack, with the KD8 featuring colors that represent Toronto’s eclectic city flag, and removable cloth patches on its heel. Paul George’s Hyperlive features a vibrant red upper and a brown gum sole, inspired by Canada’s red maple leaf national flag, with the tongue of the shoe adorned with maple leaf and “416” area code patches.
Lastly, the LeBron 13 features a green and gray colorway that emulates the neutral tones of Toronto’s winter, with colorblocking reminiscent of the KD8 design. In addition to the sneaker collection, Nike Basketball provides a limited apparel collection, complete with short- and long-sleeved tees, hat, socks and a backpack.
