Though images of the NBA All-Star Kobe 11s were made available just a few days ago, Nike has unveiled yet another colorway for superstar Kobe Bryant’s immensely popular sneaker. And with Bryant’s impending retirement coming closer and closer, the brand is no doubt doing all they can to commemorate his storied career with one of its newest designs tailored to honor both his past and present moments in his career.
Officially dubbed the Kobe XI “8:24” the newest update sees a striking purple colorway with a fade-to-black gradient on its Achilles – likely serving as a nod to his 20-year career with the Los Angeles Lakers. An icy-blue gel sole accompanies the color scheme while elsewhere, the Black Mamba insignia adorns the tongue, and Bryant’s jersey numbers 8 and 24 are etched on the right shoe’s heel to close out the eye-catching design.
The Kobe XI “8:24” will be available for a suggested retail price of $200 starting February 27 at select retailers. Check out some photos of the shoe, courtesy of Bounce, in the gallery below.
