Roots Picnic 2016 Lineup Includes Future, DMX, Kehlani, and More

Roots Picnic

Festival announcements started rolling out as early as last year. While tons of brands took 2015 to announce the dates of their highly anticipated event, these first few weeks of the New Year have been reserved for the unveiling of some pretty spectacular lineups.

Today, the Roots Picnic announced the artists set to play their 9th annual festival. Headliners of this year’s event include Usher, Future, and Leon Bridges. The Roots, Blood Orange, Swizz Beatz, DMX, Kehlani, Willow Smith, Anderson .Paak, Jidenna, Metro Boomin, Lolawolf, Lil Uzi Vert, Tish Hyman, GoGo Morrow, and more are also on the bill.

To accompany the flyer, Broad City’s hilarious pair Abbi and Ilana let off a quirky visual (see above) where they breeze from artist to artist, mapping out their plans for this spring event, which takes place at Festival Pier in Philly on Saturday, June 4.

Last year’s Roots Picnic was huge! Among the headliners were The Weeknd, Erykah Badu, and ASAP Rocky. Tickets for the 2016 event can be purchased beginning Friday at noon.
