Commentary on Kanye West’s upcoming album has been piling up for months. Even before there was an official name for the Chicago emcee’s new work, creatives such as Malik Yusef, Seth Rogen, and Theophilus London all went on record with some insane descriptions about it. But with so many months passing, there’s a chance that Kanye West has reworked the album that’s now called Waves.
The latest artist to speak on what’s to come of Ye’s next LP is Swizz Beatz. The producer recently chatted with Billboard about his Canon collaboration, and took some time to speak on Waves.
“I had the pleasure of working on a few tracks for the album. It’s one of the best albums I heard him produce in a while. It’s a sound that I think is very enjoyable. The sonics and the things that people are gonna hear — I think they should connect to it,” he told Billboard. “When you’re that popular, there’s gonna be a lot of noise but sometimes, we gotta put the headphones out, get away from that noise and really listen to the craft and I think that he has a great piece of work on his hands.”
Waves is due out on February 11, and will be premiered in cinemas around the world. For more details, click here.
