Titus O’Neil Suspended for Grabbing Vince McMahon During Daniel Bryan Farewell

Titus O'Neil Suspension

WWE superstar Titus O’Neil found himself with a hefty suspension following an incident that occurred at the tail end of Monday Night Raw. As Daniel Bryan made his final farewell to fans and the roster, and talent returned to the back, O’Neil grabbed Vince McMahon’s arm, which caused the CEO to push back. At the time, some thought this was simply a playful gesture between the two, but as PW Insider reports, the physical exchange was anything but.

Unfortunately for all those involved, the incident was caught on tape, which forced the WWE to take it down from all platforms to quickly edit and re-upload. According to the report, McMahon was furious and didn’t take kindly to being grabbed in that manner, especially during Bryan’s emotional ceremony. O’Neil was informed of his suspension when he arrived on Smackdown last night, and could face a possible 90 days out of the ring. This will mostly likely impact any opportunities he had coming for Wrestlemania 32.

Egregious sentencing? Perhaps, but one can’t help but wonder what was going through O’Neil’s head. Grabbing the CEO during an important WWE moment? Probably not the smartest decision. Still, O’Neil has been a positive presence for the WWE. The former WWE Tag Team champion was named Celebrity Dad of the Year for his community service efforts, beating out the likes of Ashton Kutcher and Vin Diesel.
