After a handful of brief teasers, Netflix drops the first full-length trailer for its hotly anticipated second season of Marvel’s Daredevil. Matt Murdock’s rise as Hell Kitchen’s savior doesn’t appear to be getting any easier. The titular hero’s back and forth with the ruthless Wilson Fisk yielded damaging results and left many people caught in the crosshairs. With the second season arriving next month, we’ve gotten a first clear look at Daredevil’s exploits and the challenges that lie ahead.
The second season introduces two familiar major characters – The Punisher (played by John Bernthal) and Elektra Natchios (played by Élodie Yung). The former will cause a major headache for Daredevil, as he’s willing to put a definite end to his foes, which is inherently different from Daredevil’s way of handling things. The two clash, with Frank Castle hurling loaded sentiments like “You’re a half measure” and “You’re one bad day from being me.” Punishing indeed. And of course Daredevil’s old flame Elektra will undoubtedly cause complications within his intimate group.
Deborah Ann Woll, Rosario Dawson, and Elden Henson return as Karen Page, Claire Temple, Foggy Nelson, respectively. And if the two and a half minute trailer wasn’t enough badassery for you, don’t fret. Netflix is dropping part two February 25th. Yeah, they’re not playing around this time.
Daredevil returns March 18.
