A lot happened at Madison Square Garden last Thursday. Kanye West debuted his Yeezy Season 3 fashion line, premiered his newest album titled The Life of Pablo, and let Virgil Abloh take charge of the AUX chord. On this same day, fans heard new tunes from Vic Mensa, Young Thug, and Travis Scott.
Towards the end of the event, Abloh played a brand-new remix from La Flame. The rapper can be heard over MadeinTyo’s “Uber Everywhere.” It’s a record that has been buzzing for some months now, and currently has over four million plays on Soundcloud. It’s part of the Atlanta native’s You Are Forgiven EP, which was released back in August.
Travis Scott wasn’t excited when the full record leaked online yesterday. “Man I don’t get why not wait for an official version it would sound way better,” he questioned on Twitter. Despite his ill feelings, he agreed to let the record stay up. He also hinted about new songs coming this week, stating, “I was legit droppin 4 new joints thurs. but now F*CK.”
Travis Scott released his debut album, Rodeo, last summer. He hinted at its follow-up in recent weeks, and has continued to liberate new tunes. He paired with DJ Mustard for the dance-inspired “Whole Lotta Lovin” and revisited Miguel’s “Waves” on remix.
Listen to “Uber Everywhere” on Audio Clouds now.
