R&B singers have always had a way of twisting drama with words. The latest artist to do so is Indianapolis native Trevor Jackson. More than a triple threat, he combines a number of his skills—singing, acting, and songwriting—for “Here I Come.” The entertaining visual takes listeners on a wild spin with its dramatic twist and questionable plot.
In the previously released visual for “Rock Wit Me,” the Atlanta records signee met his current love interest. Times have passed since then, and “Here I Come” shows the relationship’s progress. The couple is happy, and Trevor is finally meeting the young woman’s mother. While this is usually a good sign in real life, it doesn’t quite work out for our young star. The mom’s connection to Trevor is undeniable, and looks like trouble.
“Here I Come” is a record off of his In My Feelings project. Released back in August, the 13-track effort features Kevin Gates, IAMSU!, Iyn Jay, and Mystikal.
Fans can see Trevor Jackson take his acting skills to a new level on the second season of the hit ABC drama American Crime alongside Felicity Huffman, Regina King and Andre “Andre 3000” King.
