Big Sean Gives an Update on His Upcoming Album [VIDEO]

Big Sean Details New Album

Big Sean is still making waves with Dark Sky Paradise. Released over one year ago, the LP recently received platinum status from the RIAA. The project’s February 24th anniversary prompted a reflection session on the Detroit rapper’s Twitter where he claimed to already have an album recorded and complete. Now, in an interview with Real 92.3, he unveiled a few key details about his forthcoming effort.

“It’s a lot of new music that’s done, but we’re just getting it right,” said Big Sean at Sunday’s “Real Birthday Bash.” “It’s my best work so far. I feel like on my last album, that’s the most comfortable I’ve been. This one is taking that to another level. The concept is crazy. The songs are crazy, and I’ve got a surprise, too. I’ve got a real surprise coming up soon.”

Big Sean announced Dark Sky Paradise just weeks shy of its release date, and enlisted the help of the LP’s featured artists—Jhené Aiko, E-40, PartyNextDoor—for assistance. He followed up with visuals for “Play No Games,” “All Your Fault,” and “One Man Can Change the World.”

We haven’t gotten much music from Big Sean since his Pharrell-assisted “What a Year.” But fans will be able to see the rapper live on the European leg of Rihanna’s upcoming ANTI Tour.
