Kanye West Shares the Cover to Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz’s “ColleGrove” Project

Though there’s been talk from Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz about their upcoming collaborative effort, Collegrove, no music has officially made its way to fans. It was only two weeks ago when they performed “Rolls Royce Weather Everyday” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and before this, a song was teased during a show.

With the help of Kanye West, Collegrove‘s cover and release date has just surfaced online. The Chicago emcee shared it on Twitter with the caption, “New project with 2 Chainz and Wayne dropping this Friday.”

2 Chainz first discussed the project during an interview with Rap Radar‘s podcast back in November, but only mentioned that it would be out “sooner than people think.” The two collaborated in the past on “Yuck,” “Duffle Bag Boy,” and “Rich as F*ck.”

Both artists have been releasing solo tracks of their own. Lil Wayne debuted “Cry Out (Amen)” back in January, and also paired with Mannie Fresh, Birdman, and Juvenile on “Hate.” During the same month, 2 Chainz released a mixtape titled Felt Like Cappin. It’s home to a new Lil Wayne-assisted song titled “Back on My Bullshyt.”

Collegrove‘s cover combines Lil Wayne’s and 2 Chainz’s key features. Take a look at the mashup below.
