Thank LeBron James for Getting Kendrick Lamar’s “Untitled Unmastered.” Released

LeBron James prompted the release of Kendrick Lamar's "untitled unmastered" album

Kendrick Lamar surprised fans in a major way on Thursday night by releasing a new album titled “untitled unmastered.” out of nowhere. Almost as unexpected as the project’s release is the person who may have single-handedly prompted Kendrick’s label Top Dawg Ent. to drop the album.

It turns out that the individual you have to thank for the new Kendrick Lamar project you’ve been bumping the past couple days is none other than LeBron James. In a recent Instagram post, TDE shotcaller Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith confirmed that the two-time NBA champion was a catalyst in getting Top Dawg Ent. to release Kendrick Lamar‘s surprise album.

LeBron James first urged Tiffith to release Kendrick’s untitled tracks in a tweet he sent out following the rapper’s stellar Grammy Awards performance last month. Check out the original tweet and Tiffith’s response that set things in motion below.
