Neville And WWE Referee Latest To Catch WWE's Injury Bug

The WWE is currently going through an unprecedented injury bug as the company gears up for WrestleMania 32 in AT&T Stadium in Texas. Seth Rollins, John Cena, Cesaro, Nikki Bella, Sting, Randy Orton, Daniel Bryan, Hideo Itami and Tyson Kidd are only a few of the wrestlers who have had injuries sideline them for the company’s biggest show. Now, you can add up-and-coming superstar Neville to that list.

The longest-running NXT Champion in history and Slammy Award winner for 2015 Breakout Star of the year suffered a severe leg injury last night on Monday Night RAW while facing Chris Jericho. “Neville sustained a left ankle injury on a baseball slide during his match with Chris Jericho,” Dr. Chris Amann told “Initial X-rays reveal a fracture of the ankle. He will undergo further imaging today to determine the extent of the fracture and to determine if surgery will be necessary.”

Neville, who is known for his high-risk moves, seemed to hurt himself on a typically routine baseball slide last night.

The injury bug is apparently not exclusive to WWE wrestlers. Referee Dan Engler caught the wrath of Triple H and a random heavy box during the WWE COO’s brawl with a returning Roman Reigns. Haitch tossed a box that weighed a lot more than it looked at a referee to sell the WWE Champion trying to escape from Reigns, and Engler caught the wrath as you can see from the gif below.

That empty box weighs over 1500 pounds!See more here: <a rel=”noreferrer nofollow” target=”_blank” href=”″></a>

Free suggestion to everyone in the WWE: wrap yourselves in bubble wrap until you get off the plane in Arlington, TX. We’d all understand at this point.
