Pope Francis Is About To Bless Your Instagram Feed

Pope Francis to launch Instagram account

Under the leadership of Pope Francis, the Catholic Church has grown much more adept at using the Internet as a means of enhancing the reach of their message. Having already amassed close to 9 million followers on Twitter (@Pontifex), his Holiness has now decided to start his own personal Instagram account.

Following a private meeting last month with Instagram founder and CEO Kevin Systrom, Pope Francis is all set to launch his Instagram on Saturday, March 19. The Pope’s Instagram account, “Franciscus,” is presumed to offer a significantly different collection of images from The Vatican’s already existing IG page. There’s no word if Pope Francis will be running the account himself, but he’ll certainly have his work cut out for him if he wants his Instagram to be more inspiring than The Rock’s.
