NikeLab Returns to the Luxe Life with the Air Max 1 “Royal”

NikeLab Air Max 1 Royal

Joining the luxurious ranks of the upcoming Air Jordan 4 “Pinnacle,” NikeLab is debuting their own premium version of a Tinker Hatfield-designed silhouette this month. Taking the iconic Air Max 1 model off the bench, the experimental department of the classic brand outfits it with a luxe makeover, featuring suede attributes in a monochromatic color scheme.

The retro runner sees its original concept kept intact, with Nike updating its upper with a luxury-based, deconstructed suede. Arriving in a black and tan colorway, the new design also features matching waxed cotton laces, a leather heel accent, and a matching welt that does a unique job of uniting the shoe’s upper with its clean white midsole.

Officially dubbed the Nike Air Max 1 “Royal,” the shoe will be released to select NikeLab dealers starting March 26 in limited quantities.
