Taking a break from the sneaker realm, Supreme knocks on the door of longtime rock-and-roll legends Black Sabbath for an all-new, collaborative apparel collection inspired by the legendary group. The new collection serves as a follow-up to their reveal of the Morrisey-led campaign for the spring/summer 2016 season, further affirming the streetwear imprint’s mounting obsession with rock-and-roll culture. Supreme’s latest collaborative collection with Black Sabbath employs imagery inspired by heavy metal culture, with bold graphics and dizzying photography displayed across the menswear collection.
The new collection arrives just in time for the iconic band’s world tour and features an assortment of pieces, including a denim trucker jacket adorned with the cover of Black Sabbath’s 1970 self-titled debut, a hooded parka, hooded sweatshirt, crewneck sweatshirt, a long-sleeve T-shirt, four T-shirt options, and commemorative baseball caps. A rug by Japan’s Gallery 1950 is also featured in the line, along with a hockey jersey featuring typography taken from the band’s fourth album, Vol. 4.
The Supreme x Black Sabbath collection drops Thursday, March 31, in New York, London, Paris, Los Angeles, and online, with a Japanese release scheduled for April 2. Take a closer look at the collection, along with some lifestyle imagery of the pieces, up top in the gallery.
