ScHoolboy Q Talks Working with Kanye West, Almost Quitting Rap, and More

ScHoolboy Q’s new album Blank Face LP will be in stores tomorrow July 8. During a stop by Hot 97’s Ebro in the Morning, he talked about working with Kanye West, his struggles with reading as a kid, and almost quitting rap.

Q let his guard down with Ebro, Laura Stylez and Rosenberg. He opened about his weight-loss journey, and credits his health kick to a serious lifestyle change. He also revealed that he hasn’t drunk lean since 2012 and the rapper also revealed that he didn’t learn how to read until he was nine years old.

The first official single from the Blank Face LP, titled “Groovy Tony,” released in April. Q quickly followed up with “THat Part” featuring artist and producer Kanye West. After dropping videos for those two singles, ScHoolboy released “By Any Means,” which is the first part to a series of a cinematic visuals. Next, he released part two, “Tookie Knows II” featuring Traffic and TF. Expect to see more features on the album such as Tha Dogg Pound, E-40 and Jadakiss just to name a few.
