John McVie Of Fleetwood Mac Diagnosed With Cancer, Cancels Tour

John McVie, bassist and founding member of Fleetwood Mac, has been diagnosed with cancer. The band, who have been currently touring Australia and New Zealand, have cancelled the remaining dates so McVie can receive treatment.

“We are sorry to not be able to play these Australian and New Zealand dates. We hope our Australian and New Zealand fans as well as Fleetwood Mac fans everywhere will join us in wishing John and his family all the best,” the band left in a statement on their website. McVie’s ex-wife, former Fleetwood Mac member Christie McVie, joined the band onstage at London’s 02 Arena in September for a rendition of “Don’t Stop.”

The December 30th date for Las Vegas, Nevada is still on.
